10 Great Reasons to Read

Posted by on Jun 20, 2017 in A Writer's Life | 0 comments

Last Sunday I was chatting with one of my readers about The Slow Trail Home. She pulled out this bookmark that listed ten reasons to read. She wanted me to have it, she said, because, for her, reading my stories fulfilled a good portion of the reasons listed. She specifically mentioned #1, #2, #4, #7, and #8.

Unfortunately, there’s no author on the bookmark, so I can’t give credit where credit is due. However, here is the list:

10 Great Reasons To Read

  1. Read to understand the past.
  2. Read to explore your world.
  3. Read to plan for your future.
  4. Read to visit new places.
  5. Read to create great things.
  6. Read to make a good decision.
  7. Read to have fun.
  8. Read to exercise your mind.
  9. Read to keep in touch.
  10. Read because you can!

Can you think of other reasons to add to this list?
